Mr. Tinnich got tired of his interior Venetian blinds getting caught on things, and after the latest tangle decided to get something else. There was sufficient room outside of the window panes to install exterior shades, with a bit of frame installation work. Mr. Tinnich also said he would prefer motorized window treatments this time.
After measuring the window frames and making sure we had enough room without adding a frame extension, we started on a set of tracks. Exterior shades need more support than interior ones, because of the wind and other elements, so tracks or grooves are very important. We showed Mr. Tinnich some motorized exterior shades options from our suppliers at Lutron and Somfy, and he chose the semi-sheer Lutron outdoor rollers. Wiring the motorized rollers into his electrical grid was the tricky part, but we feel that our work speaks for itself.
